About the Global Goals

Enactus and Unilever are proud supporters of the Global Goals. In September 2015, 193 world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. If these Goals are completed, it would mean an end to extreme poverty, inequality and climate change by 2030. Global Goal 2: Zero Hunger aims to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.

Global Goals Ambassador Challenge

Enactus teams participating in the Unilever Bright Future Project Accelerator will become Global Goals ambassadors. In addition to their empowerment projects, Enactus teams will implement an awareness campaign to promote the Global Goals and share how Bright Future projects are making tangible advancements towards Global Goal 2: Zero Hunger; Global Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being; Global Goal 4: Quality Education; and Global Goal 12: Responsible Consumption & Production. Participating teams will have access to resources, such as press releases and social media tools, to implement their awareness campaigns. The top three most successful Global Goal Ambassador teams will be recognized at brightfuture.unilever.us.

Guidelines and Resources

Enactus teams are required to use proper credit and branding in all Bright Future project activities. Unilever should be named for their support in all Bright Future activities, including media releases and campaigns. Enactus teams should also use the Unilever or Unilever Bright Future Project logo (available for download below) in all visual materials, such as posters, webpages, created resources and training materials. Your media outreach, including Unilever and Global Goal recognition, will be documented and evaluated in your Final Impact Report.
